BMI und BMJ legen Gesetzentwurf zur Strafverschärfung bei Geldautomatensprengungen vor
Berlin - Das Bundesinnenministerium (BMI) und das Bundesjustizministerium (BMJ) haben einen Gesetzentwurf zur Verschärfung der Strafen für Geldautomatensprengungen vorgelegt. Die Zahl dieser Taten ist erheblich angestiegen und erreichte 2022 einen Höchststand. Der Gesetzentwurf sieht Freiheitsstrafen von mindestens zwei Jahren, in schweren Fällen bis zu 15 Jahren, vor. Zudem sollen Ermittlungsbehörden Telekommunikationsüberwachung einsetzen können.
Bundesinnenministerin Nancy Faeser und Bundesjustizminister Marco Buschmann betonen die Notwendigkeit einer Verschärfung der Strafen und fordern zusätzliche Präventionsmaßnahmen. Der Gesetzentwurf schließt auch Strafbarkeitslücken im Sprengstoffgesetz und ermöglicht schärfere Strafen für bandenmäßige und gewerbsmäßige Taten.
