Modenschau im Stadtmuseum Berger Allee 2: Eine bunte Vielfalt aus Düsseldorf und Südafrika
Am Samstag, 27. Juli 2024, öffnet das Stadtmuseum Berger Allee 2 seine Pforten für eine einzigartige Modenschau, die in Kooperation mit dem Wirtschaftsförderungsamt stattfindet. Von 11 bis 20 Uhr präsentieren acht talentierte Modedesignerinnen und -designer aus Düsseldorf und Südafrika ihre kreativen Kollektionen.
Die Veranstaltung bietet nicht nur einen Blick auf die neuesten Modetrends, sondern auch die Gelegenheit, die Designer hinter den Kreationen kennenzulernen. Zu den teilnehmenden Labels gehören:

Mzukisi Mbane aus Kapstadt, Creative Entrepreneur und Gründer der international bekannten Modemarke "Imprint". Seine Kreationen wurden bereits auf zahlreichen Fashion Weeks und in renommierten Publikationen wie Vogue Italia und Harpers Bazaar Vietnam gezeigt.

Amza Niyonzima aus Kapstadt, der das Label "Masa Mara" im Jahr 2014 gründete. Seine Designs sind von Emotion und Passion geprägt und erzählen Geschichten jenseits der Kleidung.

Nao Serati mit Sitz in Johannesburg, dessen Label einen tiefgründigen Dialog über Identität und Zeitgeist führt. Nao Serati hat sowohl auf der Mercedez Benz Fashion Week Johannesburg als auch auf der South African Menswear Week ausgestellt.

Judy Sanderson aus Limpopo, Südafrika, die ihr Modedesign-Studium in Hongkong absolvierte und 2020 das gleichnamige Label gründete. Ihr Sitz befindet sich in Portugal, wo sie heute lebt und arbeitet.

Molebatsi, ein Luxusmodehaus, das von der Modedesignerin Jessica Jane Molebatsi und dem Filmproduzenten/Schauspieler Wandile Molebatsi gegründet wurde. Ihr gemeinsames Ziel ist es, durch Mode sozialen Zusammenhalt zu schaffen.

Don Design, der südafrikanische Hip-Hop-Künstler und Designer, dessen von der Streetculture beeinflusste Kreationen in der Modeindustrie für Aufsehen sorgen.

Marion Strehlow aus Düsseldorf, deren Label "Strehlow" durch innovative Schnitttechniken, überraschende Details und farbliche Akzentuierungen einen unverkennbaren Stil prägt.

Aleks Kurkowski aus Düsseldorf, die in Polen geboren wurde und in ihrer Wahlheimat tief verwurzelt ist. Ihr Label steht seit 2012 für klares, sachliches Design, das Minimalismus und den zeitlosen Geist der Avantgarde mit nachhaltigen Werten, Tradition und Handwerk verbindet.
Zusätzlich zum Modenschau-Event bietet das Stadtmuseum einen Stofftaschen-Workshop zum 150-jährigen Jubiläum des Museums an. Die Künstlerin Klara Virnich führt die kleinen Gäste von 14 bis 16 Uhr durch diese kreative Erfahrung.
Der Eintritt zur Modenschau und zum Workshop ist frei, und eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich. Das Stadtmuseum Berger Allee 2 lädt alle Modeliebhaber und Interessierte herzlich ein, diese besondere Veranstaltung zu genießen und die kreativen Visionen der Designerinnen und Designer zu entdecken.
